Participation of the Nuclear Energy Center in the Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum 2025
The Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum (BNEF) took place from March 18 to 22, 2025. Participants included Prof. Waldemar Kamrat, DSc, Eng. – Director of the Center for Nuclear Energy; Dr. Marcin Jaskólski – Deputy Director; and Sławomir Kucharski, M.Sc. – Deputy Director for External Communication.
Dr. Marcin Jaskólski, who is also a member of the BNEF Scientific Committee, participated as a panelist and moderator in the sessions titled: “Nuclear for Heat,” “Power in People,” and “Long-Term Vision.” The first of these sessions focused on the use of both small and large nuclear reactors in district heating.
As part of the BNEF, the Deputy Director also took part in a study visit hosted by AIC S.A. in Gdynia, a company specializing, among other things, in the production of heat exchangers for small modular reactors (SMRs).
