Training Skills Instead of Teaching Practice

The essence of the "Implementation Doctorate" program is research and the practical implementation of its results, rather than serving as an academic teacher. This means that the Implementation Doctoral School does not include teaching practice. A doctoral candidate at the Implementation Doctoral School is not required to conduct classes with students as an academic teacher.

Instead, confirmation of conducting training lasting at least 5 hours must be provided as part of practicing training skills. This type of task can be carried out:

  • as part of professional practice with the candidate's own employer,
  • on the university premises under the supervision of a supervisor.

Implementation of the Doctoral Project and Doctoral Candidate’s Responsibilities

Regardless of the education process in the Implementation Doctoral School, a fundamental element of participation in the “Implementation Doctorate” program and receiving a scholarship is the execution of the approved doctoral project in accordance with the schedule. Doctoral candidates are held accountable for this obligation through annual reports on research progress.

Therefore, close and systematic collaboration is necessary:

  • with the supervisor,
  • with the auxiliary mentor from the employer’s side,

to ensure the ongoing execution of the planned research activities.

Opinions regarding the doctoral candidate’s engagement in conducting research constitute a significant element of the annual reports. These reports influence both the continuation of participation in the program and the continuity of scholarship payments.
