Graduate of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering won the Siemens Award

MSc Eng. Jacek Szkopek

A graduate and current PhD student of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, MSc Eng. Jacek Szkopek won 3rd place in the 9th Competition for the Siemens Award for Graduates in the field of Automation and Robotics. 

The award was granted for the diploma thesis entitled Anthropomorphic gripper driven by pneumatic muscles, which was made in the Department of Mechatronics and High Voltage Engineering under the supervision of PhD Eng. Łukasz Doliński

In order to support the development of young scientists and students, Siemens also funded equipment for laboratories at the universities where the awarded winners come from.

The aim of the annual competition organized jointly by Siemens and the Warsaw University of Technology is to promote outstanding achievements in technology and scientific research, including the best theses, carried out in academic institutions in Poland. 

The awards were presented on the 25th of June 2019 at a ceremony of academic promotion at the Warsaw University of Technology.
