Open Access Week 2021
The 2021 Open Access Week theme will be “It Matters How We Open Knowledge: Building Structural Equity.” This year’s theme intentionally aligns with the recently released UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, of which Open Access is a crucial component.
International Open Access Week is a time for the wider community to coordinate in taking action to make openness the default for research and to ensure that equity is at the center of this work. The event is celebrated by individuals, institutions and organizations across the world, and its organization is led by a global advisory committee.
Gdańsk University of Technology Library will present a series of events with topics related to open publishing, open science and data sharing such as: tematical posts and tweets prepared by the Library branches, infopoint on OA resources in the hall of the Main Building, posters on OA, special computer stations with OA databases and resources prepared and ready in every Library branch, webinars (in Polish) for scientists and librarians on OA publishing, Data Management Plans and Plan S.
