Library training for new students
The Gdańsk Tech Library offers "Library Information Skills e-course" to the students enrolled in English-language degree programmes at Gdańsk Tech Library. Information skills, or in other words information literacy, means knowing what kind of information a student is looking for, where to find it, how to evaluate, communicate and use it in a presentation, article or diploma in an ethical way. The library system should be treated as a gateway to the quality information.
The library training for first-cycle students enrolled in English-language degree is obligatory. To pass the training:
- reading the e-course information
- correctly solving the online test
The test is available on the e-learning platform (eNauczanie.pl) and must be completed by the end of the winter term. To pass the obligatory library training successfully a student needs to score 70% or more of the correct answers. Students can approach the test 3 times.
