Acoustic cabins in the Gdańsk Tech Library | Gdańsk University of Technology

To meet the needs of its users, Gdańsk Tech Library is enriching its interiors with a new, independent co-working space: two acoustic cabins located in the Lending Library and the Main Reading Room in the Main Building. This state-of-the-art solution, which provides excellent acoustic insulation from the outside world, provides a separate place to work or study, allowing for unconstrained conversations and consultations with up to four people. It is equipped with a number of practical features: adjustable LED lighting and adjustable ventilation activated by a presence sensor, Internet access, 230V socket, 2 USB ports, RJ45 network cable; it is also possible to hang up a TV set, e.g. for a presentation. For the comfort of users, the cabins are equipped with two comfortable, two-seater sofas with high-quality, sound-absorbing upholstery, as well as a work table. Transparent windows provide access to daylight.

The acoustic cabins are open to all readers. A place in cabin 1 located in the Lending Library can be booked in advance by Gdańsk Tech employees by sending a request to: michal.bladziak@pg.edu.pl
