OPEN UP! Be curious about other people.
DARE TO! Don’t be afraid to speak in English.

The International Relations Office invites staff, PhD students, and students to participate in the intercultural competence enhancement program entitled OPEN UP! DARE TO!. The program consists of a series of events – a movie screening and meetings with special guests. All events will take place in February on the campus. Participation in the program is free of charge.

This invitation is for everyone who wants to:
  • feel confident and at ease in interactions with people from other countries/cultures,
  • break the barrier of speaking in English (and other foreign languages),
  • listen to how culture – music, film, theater, art – connects people from different cultures,
  • learn about the actions Gdańsk is taking to be a city of equality.
The program will include:
  • a screening of the movie Green Book and a meeting with a film expert,
  • a meeting with a philologist and author of a book on learning English,
  • a series of meetings with representatives of local NGOs and cultural institutions.
Program participation rules:
  • You can participate in the entire program (all events) or in selected meetings only.
  • Participants who attend all events will receive a special certificate.
  • The movie screening and meetings with NGOs and cultural institutions are open to all – staff, PhD students, and students.
  • The number of places for events is limited, and registration is required.
  • Separate registration is required for each event.
  • All events will be translated into English.
  • Participation in all events is free of charge.
