Electrical section | Gdańsk University of Technology

The electrical section deals with the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage electrical and power networks and equipment, including:

• determining the technical conditions for connecting new and refurbished electrical installations to the network, settling the documentation of electrical installations and external networks on the GUT premises,

• drawing up plans for inspection and overhaul of used power networks and devices

• full service of transformer substations and external MV and LV network cables in the GUT area, main switchboards and cable joints, indoor wiring and lighting,

• performing electrical testing and power tool measurements,

• being on duty on emergency power,

• execution of 24-hour current orders of the District Traffic Controller of Energa Gdańsk

• reading the indications of electricity meters – both external and internal ones,
