Cooperative Education Program with Dezhou University
The GUT’s part of the undertaking is an interfaculty program in Power Engineering run by the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology. The agreement and the related documents required for the application of DZU to the Ministry of Education were prepared by prof. Janusz Nieznański, prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, prof. Christian Jungnickel and other staff members of GUT – in cooperation with the Chinese partners.
The success of the DZU application reaches back to a long-standing successful collaboration between our universities which started in 2013 owing largely to the efforts of Dr Magdalena Popowska and other staff members from the Faculty of Management and Economics.
The studies will follow a 2+2 arrangement, with the initial two years to be implemented at DZU, and the latter two to be covered at GUT. The program will start in 2021, which means that first classes at GUT will begin in 2023. The agreement assumes annual recruitment of 80 to 120 students from DZU over five consecutive years.
