Female students from Ukraine with scholarships from the "New Technologies for Women – Ukraine" program
The "New Technologies for Women - Ukraine" scholarship program was addressed to Ukrainian female students, doctoral students and graduates of secondary schools (starting technical studies in autumn 2022) studying in Poland, who are in a difficult material / life situation due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The winners of the program were four students of Gdańsk University of Technology:
- Karyna Konup, 1 semester, Automation, robotics and control systems, Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering
- Mariia Krykun, 1 semester, Automation, Cybernetics and Robotics, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics
- Mariia Kyryszenko, 1 semester, Computer Science, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics
- Olena Onyszczenko, 4 semester, Nanotechnology, Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics
In addition to receiving an annual scholarship of PLN 20,000, and access to a series of workshops and a mentoring program, the winners took part in the conference "INCUBATING FREEDOM - Post War Innovative Transformation of Ukraine" (Lublin, 1 – 2 December). They will also be guests at the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2023 - Europe's largest event for women in technology, which will take place on 14 – 15 June 2023 in Warsaw.
The program includes: a 10-month financial scholarship in the amount of PLN 2,000 gross per month (in total PLN 20,000 gross) to cover the costs of education and development, technical and soft skills workshops with Intel Technology Poland experts, career counseling sessions and participation in the mentoring Buddies Program, free participation in Perspektywy Women in Tech 2023 - the largest event for women in STEM, Tech & IT in Europe and Asia.
