Got a fantastic idea about how science and technology can support sustainable development efforts? If so, register for the CESAER Student Challenge and win a cash prize of up to €20,000! The application deadline is 31 July 31 2023.

CESAER Student Challenge is a cyclical competition for students and doctoral students organized by CESAER - a European organization associating leading technical universities (Gdańsk University of Technology has been a member of CESAER since 2015).The theme of this year's competition is the contribution of science and technology universities to sustainable development. Students' projects submitted for the competition will be evaluated in three categories:

  •      innovation
  •      scientific and technological excellence
  •      sustainable development

Entries for the competition in the form of an abstract and a short film must be sent by teams by 31 July 2023. Each CESAER member university may submit only one team to the competition, therefore those willing to participate must first obtain approval from CESAER's Institutional Liaison at their home university (at Gdańsk University of Technology it is Anna Modrzejewska, Head of the International Relations Office). Only the projects of teams that have received such approval will be considered in the competition.

The top three submissions (videos) will be shown at the annual CESAER meeting at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in October 2023, and the leaders of the winning teams will be special guests of the event (their travel and accommodation costs will be covered by CESAER). The winning team will win a cash prize of up to €20,000.
