International competition for students - information meeting

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology invites Gdańsk Tech students to a meeting with George Smyrnakis, secretary general of WEGEMT (Marine University Association), who will present the methods and conditions of participating in the next edition of TRA VISIONS, a prestigious and most important European competition for students, PhD students and graduates of the study courses associated with widely understood transport. c

The meeting will be held on 24 May at 12 p.m. in prof. Hilary Sipowicz auditorium (1st floor, building no. 30). 


TRA VISIONS 2024 Young Researcher Competition is an initiative financed with EU funds, directed at BSc, MSC, PhD students whose study courses are associated with transport. The competition is open to all the students and graduates of EU-located universities. 

Poland My First Choice NAWA - an open call

National Agency for Academic Exchange announced the call for applications for Poland My First Choice NAWA program, which enables young people from developed countries to study at Polish universities with a scholarship (that includes Gdańsk University of Technology). Application deadline: by 15 June 2023. 

The programme offers the opportunity to undertake full-time, second-cycle studies with a monthly NAWA scholarship. In addition, the program will make it possible to study for free at public universities.

"Focus on Ukraine" - conference recap

On April 3-4, the conference "Focus on Ukraine" was held in Gdańsk. The meeting was organized by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and the University of Gdańsk. One of the speakers during the event was Monika Czerepak, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office of Gdańsk University of Technology. Read more. 

Monika Czerepak represented Gdańsk University of Technology during a panel devoted to the recognition of education of students in exile from the perspective of the war. This part of the conference was hosted by Hanna Reczulska, director of NAWA Education Recognition Office. Apart from Monika Czerepak, the experts were: Samir Hećo from the Council of Europe, Joanna Nyga from the NAWA Office for Academic Recognition and Viktoria Sergienko, Director of the National Center for Information and Academic Mobility of Ukraine.

Student Day 2023. Concerts and fun

Traditionally, May is the time of the student holiday - Juwenalia. Many attractions await students of Gdańsk University of Technology, including two large music events: Technikalia and Juwenalia Gdańskie. Among others, such artists as Brodka, Happysad, Jacuś or Kizo are going to appear on stage.  

In May, students will be able to enjoy two large music events. The first of them is Technikalia, an event organized by the Student Self-government of Gdańsk Tech. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, 13 May. May 19 and 20 will be another opportunity to celebrate during the Gdańsk Juwenalia, which is organized by six Gdańsk universities in cooperation with the Gdańsk Foundation.
