Free legal advice for foreigners

We invite international employees, PhD students, and students to take advantage of free legal consultations organized as part of a project funded by the NAWA "Welcome to Poland" program.

We offer support in the following areas:

  • legalization of stay in Poland,

  • employment of family members,

  • access to the education system,

  • access to the healthcare system,

  • renting/purchasing an apartment,

  • tax issues,

Communication Officers Meeting within the ENHANCE+ Project

From June 24 to 26, 2025, Gdańsk University of Technology hosted a three-day workshop for Communication Officers involved in the implementation of the ENHANCE+ project. The meeting aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences, strengthen cooperation, and jointly develop effective communication strategies for the ENHANCE alliance.

Tourist Highlights of Gdańsk and the region

What is so special about Gdańsk and Pomerania? How to present the beauty of our city and the region to international guests visiting Gdańsk University of Technology? That was the topic of our meeting with the representatives of local touristic organizations, which took place on Wednesday, 25th of June. The event was organized as a part of NAWA project (Welcome to Poland).

During the meeting we had a pleasure to host Michał Brandt from Gdańsk Tourist Organisation (GOT) and Magdalena Węgrowicz from Pomeranian Local Tourist Organisation (PROT).

Gdańsk Tech strengthens ties with Shanghai Institute of Technology

On 12 June 2025, Gdańsk University of Technology had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT), led by Vice President Professor Chen Haijin. The visit marked a significant step forward in the cooperation between the two institutions and concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a framework for future collaboration.

The SIT delegation included Professor Chen Haijin, Vice President; Professor Yongzheng Fang, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering; Associate Professor Jingshan Hou of the School of Materials Science and Engineering; and Associate Professor Yuan Liu, Head of the Department of International Business in the School of Economics and Management.

New Prospects for Cooperation with South Korea

On 13 June 2025, Gdańsk University of Technology had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Changwon National University.

On 13 June 2025, Gdańsk University of Technology had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Gyeongsangnam-do Province in South Korea, visiting Gdańsk as part of the official signing of a cooperation plan with the Pomeranian Voivodeship for the years 2025–2029. During their visit to the region, the delegation met with representatives of academic, economic and governmental institutions, including Gdańsk Tech. 

Gdańsk Tech Ranked Highest Among Polish Universities in THE Impact Rankings

Impact
Gdańsk University of Technology has been ranked in the 301–400 range in the latest edition of THE Impact Rankings 2025, which assess universities worldwide in terms of their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Alongside the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk Tech is the highest-ranked Polish higher education institution in this year’s edition.

“This marks another consecutive year of significant advancement for the university — in 2024, we were ranked in the 401–600 range, and two years ago, in the 601–800 range. We are pleased that the university’s efforts in the field of sustainable development are being recognized and highly rated in the world’s most prestigious university rankings.
