Call for applications in the Francium program (16.12.24-06.01.25)

Within the program pro-quality scholarships are granted to outstanding participants of the Doctoral School, especially to doctoral students conducting research in international cooperation.

Next call in the Radon program (16.12.24-17.01.24)

radon

The Radon program is part of the implementation of the IDUB program's tasks to improve the quality of student education, especially in the fields and disciplines related to the university's priority research areas (PRas).

Recruitment in the program will run from 16.12.24 to 17.01.25.

Budget and conditions for project implementation

The scholarship in the program is PLN 1,000/month and is awarded for a period of no more than 12 months.

Collections of the Gdańsk Tech Library are available online in Polona

Gdansk University of Technology

The selected Gdansk University of Technology Library collections are available in the digital library Polona.

This includes all objects restored and digitized as part of the Social Responsibility of Science project, which was implemented in 2022-2024. Prints selected for earlier SON projects - 2019-2021 and 2021-2023—are also gradually being added.

Currently, 30 objects are available in Polona within two collections: old prints and collections published between 1801 and 1945.

But that will be a challenge to fight for," says Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Research at Gdańsk Tech and Director of the Institute of Energy at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, during the podcast.

During a ceremonial session of the Senate of Gdańsk University of Technology, medals, decorations, and awards were presented to university staff and individuals associated with our academic community.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, December 4, in the Main Hall of the University’s Main Building. The event was attended by Beata Rutkiewicz, Pomeranian Voivode, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech; as well as members of the rector’s board, faculty authorities, student council representatives, and invited guests.

Achievements of the Gdańsk University of Technology - exhibition

On December 4, in the hall in front of the Main Library, an exhibition opening presenting the Achievements of the Gdańsk University of Technology took place to celebrate the university's 120th anniversary.

Dr. Anna Dąbrowska, Director of the PG Library, and Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of PG, opened the exhibition. Dr. Mikołaj Sikała, a renowned composer and pianist, provided the musical accompaniment.
