Scholarship for higher-year students - for academic results and scientific, artistic or sport achievements

The rector's scholarshipfor higher-year students is awarded on the basis of the sum of the points obtained. The scholarship is awarded to a certain percentage of the best students in a given field of study, which is established at the beginning of the academic year (but not more than 10%). The average grade, scientific, artistic and sport achievements are taken into account. The catalog of achievements, as well as their exact scores are specified in the Benefit rules for the Students of Gdańsk University of Technology. There you can also find information on the allocation of the scholarship pool into semesters, specialties, etc.

The sum of points is calculated using the following formula:

Number of points = 0,25 * x1 + 0,25 * x2 + 0,25 * x+ 0,25 * x4

where:
x1 - points obtained for high grade average;

x2 - points obtained for scientific achievements;
x3 - points obtained for artistic achievements;
x4 – points obtained for sports achievements in competition at least at the national level.

A maximum of 100 points can be obtained in each criterion.

The factor x1 is derived from an average of 3,800 using the formula:

x1 = (x - 3.799) * (100 / 1.201)

where:
x - average grade obtained by the student; for an average below 3,800, the factor x1 is 0.

Applications for the rector's scholarship, along with a complete set of required documents, should be submitted to the Scholarship Committee within the required deadlines.
