The last of the three prototyping workshops - Protolab II - is at the users' disposal. A fully equipped technical workshop is located in the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park. Undergraduate and graduate students, participants of the e-Pionier project and scientific staff of Gdańsk University of Technology can use the workshop free of charge.

ProtoLab II is part of the Space4makers initiative at GS&TP, where a prototyping space dedicated to startups, innovative enterprises and inventors was created on an area of 400 square m. The workshop is equipped with large-size machines for wood and metal processing, such as a CNC plotter, lathe-milling machine, hand press. Users can also use a 3D printing station and power tools.

Similarly to other prototyping workshops, access to ProtoLab II is possible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, after prior registration and receipt of an access card.

The space and its equipment complement the other two ProtoLabs and make it possible to develop and produce any kind of prototype.

The laboratory was established as part of the project ‘e-Pionier II - Support for ICT investors as a chance to develop the potential of talented programmers’, implemented by Excento - the special purpose vehicle of Gdańsk University of Technology.

More information on the rules of using this space can be found on the ProtoLab website.

We would like to remind you that ProtoLab III was put into operation in mid-January - it is equipped with a high-class prototyping space for GUT students and researchers, created in cooperation with the GUT special-purpose vehicle - Excento and the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics. The laboratory will implement initiatives in the field of space technologies and augmented reality (VR) technologies.

The first ProtoLab was established in 2018 in the building of the GUT Technical Service Center [No. 65 on the campus map] and was also the first 24-hour prototyping facility in Pomerania. The laboratory offers the possibility of testing solutions from the ICT industry. The prototyping workshop is equipped with various types of devices, including oscilloscopes, generators, meters, loads and software. There are also soldering stations, tools and 3D printers.

GS&TP has prepared a video where you can see ProtoLab II in the Space4Makers.
