Cooperation above all. "Primum Cooperatio" award for prof. Henryk Krawczyk
The candidacy of prof. Henryk Krawczyk was submitted by prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology.
– Thanking you for this distinction, I would like to invite everyone to the new building of the STOS Competence Center, which was opened a few weeks ago, where our supercomputer is located. This is an example that Polish science can do a lot, and our IT solutions can support business and the labor market. My inspiration for cooperation, which I have been continuing for many years, was born from ... computer science. There are three interesting models of IT cooperation: master-slave, client-server and peer-to-peer. The first two are based on dependence, only the third one is based on equality. It is a computer network communication model that provides all hosts with the same permissions, unlike the client-server architecture. This is my favorite model of cooperation, because it is the most interesting. Such a model must be based on trust and credibility. I wish all Pomeranian Employers this trust and credibility – said prof. Henryk Krawczyk receiving the award from prof. Edmund Wittbrodt.
