Gdańsk University of Technology in the QS World University Rankings 2026

Gdańsk University of Technology has maintained its position within the 801–850 range in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings 2026, while also remaining the 5th highest-ranked university in Poland. Nearly 8,500 universities from around the world applied to be included in this year’s edition of the ranking, of which 1,501 institutions were ultimately selected, including 20 from Poland.

The ranking takes into account nine indicators, each assigned a different weight. Of particular importance are the opinions of academic staff and employers about the university, collected through an annual survey. These two indicators together account for as much as 45% of the total possible score. A detailed breakdown of the indicators and their respective weights is presented in the table below.
