Dedicated trainings for academics are a very important product of the E-TECH project.
A certified course for academics enititled "Designing an efficient e-learning and remote course" will consists of three levels in blended learning formula:
After completing the course, academics will gain skills and abilities allowing them to conduct classes in e-learning or blended form without any problems.
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology (formerly Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) belongs to the oldest faculties within the structures of Gdańsk University of Technology. In 2019 Gdańsk University of Technology took second place in the country (highest rank among technical universities) in the competition entitled "Excellence Initiative - Research University" (IDUB).
The main objective of the project consists in equipping academics lecturing at technical universities with the skills allowing them to efficiently conduct and create e-learning courses.
What is more, partners involved in E-TECH project are going to create an interactive resource bank and a model e-learning course for students, covering a subject selected by the members of the consortium.
The direct recipients of the project include academics and lecturers, especially those employed at technical universities.
Due to the international nature of the projects, the products created within E-TECH activities and work packages will be primarily aimed at academicians associated with the universities involved in the project. However, the members of the project team hope that products created when project tasks are completed will come in handy for academics from other European countries, or even beyond Europe.
The situation of the social distancing imposed top-down forced many academics around the world to suddenly change their teaching methods and to shift from a traditional approach to a blended one or completely remote e-learning approach.
A large number of academics employed by the members of the consortium expressed the lack of the appropriate methodological preparation and resources to conduct the classes this way.
E-TECH (Comprehensive Project for Distance Teaching Skills and Multimedia Resources for Technical Universities in Europe) is being conducted by the consortium of GUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology (project leader), FH Joanneum GMBH Graz, Austria and Universita Politecnica Della Marche, Ancona, Italy, within the program Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership for digital education in higer education sector.

The Multiplier Event of the ETECH project targeted academic teachers, e-learning practitioners, experts and all stakeholder in the Higher Education Sector. The event was held in the context of the #ErasmusDays 2022, that took place on the 13, 14 and 15th of October 2022 throughout Europe and also the world.
Within E-TECH project, the members of the consortium will create products allowing academics to easily face the challenges associated with e-learning or blended learning conducted at technical universities.

Over 470 students from 42 countries - from Singapore, China, Russia, EU countries, the USA and Brazil – have been accepted this year to study at Gdańsk University of Technology. On Thursday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. there will be an online Welcome Meeting for all newly admitted international students.
