During the gala accompanying the LUMEN 2023 conference, prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Organization and Development, received the award for Gdańsk University of Technology's result in the international THE WUR (World University Rankings) ranking.

The best of the best in the region. Gdańsk Tech with the Pomeranian Eagle award

The gala of the Pomeranian business plebiscite "Orzeł Pomorski" is over. This year's winners included Gdańsk University of Technology, which received an award for consistent implementation of its development strategy as a modern, European technical university and the initiator of ventures and projects appreciated both in Poland and around the world. The statuette was received by the university's rector, prof. Krzysztof Wilde.

The event took place on Friday, 24 November at Dwór Artusa in Gdańsk. The plebiscite is organized by the editorial office of Magazyn Pomorski, under the patronage of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

ENHANCE invites to the online workshops (January 23)

Gdańsk University of Technology, as a member of the ENHANCE Alliance, invites the university community to participate in online workshops dedicated to the topics of diversity, impact, and dissemination (Tuesday, January 23, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).

In November 2022, Gdańsk University of Technology joined the ENHANCE Alliance, an alliance of the leading, European technical universities. A year later, a new project of the alliance, called ENHANCE+, was launched. The project is divided into 10 tasks, one of which is dedicated to diversity, impact, and dissemination (referred to as Work Package 10). 

Gdańsk Tech strengthens cooperation with Dalian Minzu University

On November 24 Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdansk Tech) engaged in a productive meeting with representatives from Dalian Minzu University (China) to explore collaborative opportunities and strengthen ties. 

Led by Prof Nieznanski, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and innovation, Gdansk Tech delegation included Prof Christian Jungnickel, Rector's Representative for Cooperation with Asian Higher Education Institutions, as well as academic leaders Prof Agata Kot-Wasik (Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry) and Prof Marek Tobieszewski (Vice Dean of Science of the Faculty of Chemistry), Mrs Anna Modrzejewska, Director of the Internationalization Relations Office, and Mrs. Rong Li, Liaison of Asian Affairs.

EngiRank covered 178 technical universities and engineering programmes from 27 European Union countries, including 18 universities from Poland. Gdańsk University of Technology was ranked 64th in Europe in the institutional ranking and second in Poland after AGH University.

Gdańsk Tech received the highest marks in the indicators: research, internationalisation and interdisciplinarity.

Our University was also ranked in seven fields of engineering: chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineering, environmental engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering and medical engineering.

The top place went to Technical University of Denmark, Delft University of Technology and KU Leuven.
