Italian government scholarships for students and researchers

Until Thursday, June 9, students, PhD students and researchers can submit applications for the scholarship program offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the R&D Impact gala at the Olivia Business Center in Gdańsk, 34 winners were awarded. Among them was Michał Kucewicz, PhD from the Department of Multimedia Systems, Gdańsk Tech, founder of the Gdańsk Tech Brain and Mind Electrophysiology (BME) laboratory. The awards granted during the ceremony are intended to honor the authors and implementers of outstanding technological and social projects, as well as those aimed at promoting and disseminating their activities.

The R&D Impact 2022 gala took place on 20 May at the Olivia Business Center in Gdańsk Oliwa. During the event, 34 winners from Poland were honored, who have a real and positive impact on the economy with their ideas, work, management and creativity. Female scientists from Gdańsk Tech on the TOP-100 Women in AI list

Prof. Bożena Kostek from the ETI Faculty, a graduate of this faculty, Alicja Kwaśniewska, PhD, as well as Agnieszka Mikołajczyk, MSc from the Electrical and Control Engineering Faculty are on the TOP-100 Women in AI list. This is a non-ranked list of outstanding women (Polish women and foreigners who work in Poland) professionally involved in the subject of artificial intelligence, prepared by the "Perspektywy" foundation.

Following the previous rankings (TOP-20 Women in Cybersecurity in 2019 and TOP-15 Women in 5G in 2020) TOP-100 Women in AI was created on the occasion of the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022 event organized on 7-8 June, which is the largest conference in Europe for women in technology. During the conference, from the list of all women professionally associated with AI, the jury chaired by prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska will choose Top of the Top, i.e.

Probe for measuring the corrosion rate wins Grand Prix INTARG®2022

Grand Prix
The invention of scientists from Gdańsk Tech under the supervision of prof. Kazimierz Darowicki - probe for measuring the corrosion rate was awarded at the 15th International Fair of Inventions and Innovations INTARG®2022. It was awarded a platinum medal for the most valuable invention in the industrial sector. Moreover, the invention received the highest award - the Grand Prix among all submitted inventions.  

The INTARG International Invention and Innovation Fair is a cyclical event devoted to the presentation of the potential and achievements of technological thought and science, i.e. inventions, technologies and targeted services in thirteen fields, including industry. INTARG® exhibitors have the opportunity to submit the presented inventions and innovations (technologies, products and services) to the INTARG® competition, under which they are assessed by an international jury.
