Gdańsk Tech building in Ukrainian colors
The collection of items for refugees from Ukraine will last until March 18th. All interested can donate the most necessary items to building No. 11 of Hydromechanics until Friday, 12:00 p.m. 

For just two more days, the Hydromechanics building will accept items for refugees from Ukraine. 

- We are suspending the fundraising campaign for today, but we do not rule out that in the near future we will renew the call for donation. We will try to respond to the current, most important needs of the current residents of the dormitory in Brzeźno - says Monika Czerepak, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office.

Gdańsk Tech Hydromechanics building
One of the oldest buildings on the campus of Gdańsk University of Technology has been thoroughly revitalized. The spaces inside the building have gained new functions that will be used by the entire academic community of the university.

The modern center, which was built at Gdańsk Tech in the Hydromechanics building, is to fulfill a complementary function to the one located next to the Main Building of Gdańsk University of Technology. The building opening ceremony was attended by: prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Gdańsk Tech rector, vice-rectors: professor at Gdańsk Tech Marek Dzida and prof.

Call for applications in the 2nd edition of the Scandium Baltic Region Research Grants Program (14.03 do 29.04.2022)

The Scandium Baltic Region Research Grants Program is an element of the IDUB tasks to raise the quality level of the scientific activity of the university. Within the framework of the Program it is possible to obtain a university grant for financing the costs of scientific research conducted in cooperation with partners from the Baltic Sea Region by young scientists in areas consistent with the activities of priority research centers of Gdańsk Tech  (PRA Centers).
Recipients of the Scandium Program

The applicant may be an employee of PG, employed at the university as the principal place of work, who obtained his/her doctoral degree not earlier than 7 years before the year of the application.

Call for applications in the 2nd edition of the program Palladium Supporting New R&D (14.03-22.04.22)

Palladium
The Palladium Supporting New R&D Services program is part of the implementation of IDUB's mandate to increase knowledge and technology transfer. The program will be implemented as part of the activities of the PG Priority Research Area Centers. The aim of the Program is to increase the range and value of R&D services provided on behalf of entities not belonging to the system of higher education and science.Under the Program it is possible to obtain co-financing intended to cover a part of the costs of developing new or increasing the appeal of existing research services provided by Gdansk University of Technology. 
Budget and financing conditions
  • Funding of the eligible costs of the project may range from PLN 10,000.00 to PLN 150,000.00 gross for a period of up to 12 months.
  • The entities eligible for applying for co-financing are departments and institutes as well as consortia consisting of departments, institutes and other organisational units of Gdańsk University of Technology.
  • An organisational unit can be the participant of only one application in a given call.

Opening of the Welcome Office

Opening of the Welcome Office
On Friday, March 11, the Welcome Office was officially opened - a comprehensive service centre for employees, guests, doctoral students and students from abroad, and at the same time an administrative support centre for faculties and units of Gdańsk University of Technology.

The Welcome Office operates as part of the International Relations Office and closely cooperates with the IRO team responsible for the recruitment of international students and the arrivals of foreign employees, as well as other Gdańsk Tech units providing services to students, employees and international guests.

Results of the 2nd edition of the Polonium International Doctoral Fellowships

Based on the ranking list of evaluated applications presented by the Evaluation Committee, the Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology accepted 28 out of 46 applications for POLONIUM scholarships submitted by PhD students.  

The scholarships were granted in the amount of PLN 5,000 (gross) per month for 12 months, i.e. from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. These scholarships are taxed. According to the regulations Scholarship disbursement can only start after concluding the competition and obtaining the Ph.D. student status, i.e.

Results of the 2nd edition of the Francium Supporting Outstanding Doctoral Candidates program

Based on the ranking list of evaluated applications presented by the Evaluation Committee, the Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology accepted 32 out of 55 applications for FRANCIUM scholarships submitted by PhD students.

The scholarships were granted in the amount of PLN 2,000 per month for 12 months, i.e. from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. The scholarships are exempt from personal income tax. According to the regulations of the program The scholarship is awarded for a period of 12 months - for a given academic year. If the competition is announced during the academic year, the scholarship is paid with compensation from October of that academic year.

Fahrenheit Universities at Expo 2020

Fahrenheit Universities representatives took part in the Expo 2020 fair in Dubai. Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by Anna Modrzejewska, Head of the International Relations Office, and Monika Czerepak, Deputy head of IRO. 

The Polish pavilion in Dubai was visited by representatives of numerous national academic centers, including the three largest universities in Pomerania. One of the highlights of the event was Poland the Heart of Europe exhibition showing the history and achievements of Polish medicine.
