The center deals with research and implementation of modern technologies in the field of biomedical engineering, molecular and pharmaceutical biotechnology as well as methods of searching for new drugs.
Researchers are working on new biomedical measurement methods (also using artificial intelligence methods), patient diagnosis and therapy, and dedicated device control systems that are widely used in medicine, including rehabilitation and exoskeletons.
The patronage declaration was signed on 22 July 2021 by representatives of Gdańsk authorities - the President of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, and the founders of the Daniel Fahrenheit University Association in Gdańsk. The University of Gdańsk was represented by the rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski, PhD, DSc, Gdańsk University of Technology – by rector prof.
The European undertaking supports scholars and innovators in international scientific cooperation and interdisciplinary research activities for improving the lives of societies. As the leading networking instrument in the European Research Area (ERA) the COST initiative integrates the scientific community into bottom-up, excellence-driven, open and peaceful networks in all fields of science and technology.
The BioTechMed Center invites everyone for two open neuroscience lectures, conducted in English by visiting professors at Gdańsk University of Technology. Transmitted online on 29 July.
The contract was signed on 19 July at the Stężyca Commune Office. Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by: prof. Krzysztof Wilde – rector, prof. Marek Dzida - vice-rector for education, as well as PhD Barbara Wikieł, director of the Mathematics Teaching and Distance Learning Center, Jolanta Wielgus, director of the Language Center and Krzysztof Kaszuba, director of the Academic Sports Center.
We believe that the future of this world belongs to the new technologies. The future of the new technologies is in our children’s hands (equally girls and boys). And the future of children - in their Educators’ hands.
