New offers for international grants and scholarships from EURAXESS Poland [October]
We encourage to explore the new offer of international grants and scholarships for researchers and PhD students published by EURAXESS Poland.

EURAXESS Poland is operated under the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Its mission is to support international mobility and the career development of researchers. Each month, the EURAXESS Poland website features international grants and scholarships available to PhD students and researchers. The offers come from various national and international institutions and organizations worldwide and cover all fields of science.

We invite international students to an information session on legalization of stay in Poland, which will take place on Thursday, October 10th at 4:00 PM in the conference room in the Hydromechanics Building.

The session will be conducted by the staff of the Welcome Office. International students will have the opportunity to learn about the legalization process in Poland, the necessary formalities, and where and when to submit the required documents.

The second edition of the “PhD Open” event aimed at first-year PhD students will take place already on 11th of October 2024!

The PhD Open event is a great opportunity for newly recruited PhD students to learn about the educational program, listen to interesting lectures and feel the solemnity of the event thanks to the matriculation conducted by Rector Krzysztof Wilde.

Call for the 2nd edition of the Startup School Two program called “Spread your wings”

From October 1, 2024r. the call for applications for the 2nd edition of the Startup School Two grant program titled “Spread Your Wings” (SS2-02) begins. It is part of the Molybdenum Startup School program.   The Molybdenum Startup School program is part of the implementation of the IDUB project's tasks in increasing knowledge and technology transfer under Measure V.5. Measures to increase the efficiency of technology transfer.  

In the SS2-02 program, startup teams are given a grant of up to PLN 50,000 to develop and implement the business model developed by the team in the predecessor program, Startup School One or another equivalent startup program.

The aim of the Competition is to develop and disseminate knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals among Gdańsk University of Technology community.

Chungnam National University visits Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk

Representatives of the authorities of Chungnam National University from South Korea met with the authorities of Gdansk University of Technology, Medical University of Gdańsk and University of Gdańsk The meeting focused on academic cooperation and was an opportunity to showcase the potential of Fahrenheit University. Guests from South Korea visited the campuses of Gdańsk universities, including STOS Competence Center with its server rooms at Gdańsk Tech.

The meeting began in the senate hall at the Atheneum Gedanense Novum at Medical University of Gdańsk , and was preceded by individual presentations by each university - first by the host, Prof. Michał Markuszewski, Rector of MUG, followed by Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech, and Prof. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector of UG and chairman of the Union Assembly. Chungnam National University was represented by Prof. Jeong-Kyoum Kim, President, Prof. Hyun Joo An, Vice President for International Affairs, and Prof.
