MSc Eng. Szymon Królak became a laureate of the 1st edition of the competition for the Advanced Materials Center Award | Gdańsk University of Technology

We are pleased to inform, that MSc Eng. Szymon Królak became a laureate of the 1st edition of the competition for the Advanced Materials Center Award. The title of his thesis is "Hf doping influence on physical properties of Zr2-xHfxCo.", and it was realised under the supervision of Prof. Tomasz Klimczuk from the Faculty of the Applied Physics and Mathematics.

As noted by the body assessing the competition, "the work is the most interesting because it is based on the scant achievements presented in the literature so far. The selection of ingredients may suggest potential use in nuclear fuel purification. Hence hafnium and zirconium."

The competition jury was:

- Prof. Leon Murawski;

- Prof. Tadeusz Ossowski.
