If you have scientific, business, or social ideas – make come it true
The Centre commercialises research. What does this mean in reality? The inventions, ideas, and research of scientists obtain the support they require to change the world and bring real benefits to the businesses taking advantage of them. The Centre covers the entire university and manages its research results. It provides administrative assistance, promotes new research and technologies, and supports academic business.
This is a special purpose vehicle of the Gdańsk University of Technology, which brings together the worlds of science and business. Its main objective is to provide support to GUT scientists in scope of commercialising the results of their research and development. The company is also open to cooperation with students in order to provide support in development and commercial release of interesting ideas.
This is the place where GUT students and science staff can expand and test their ICT concepts on cutting edge devices and machines 24 hours a day. This is where you go to measure, weld, cut with CNC, or print on 3D printers until your general idea obtains a real form and turns into a prototype. This is where you can meet other enthusiasts, establish interesting contacts, share your knowledge and ideas, or perhaps even find partners for a new science project. ProtoLab has 3 technology workshops providing training in scope of machinery operation and the option to rent out some of the equipment.
The Incubator helps you establish your own business, in scope of which you can expand your original concepts resulting from the research you conduct at the university. This is where you go to find help in establishing cooperation with numerous business support institutions.
If you have an innovative and interesting business idea, you can enter the contest for the best science and business venture project – the Swallows of Business. Enter to win an opportunity to carry out your idea and obtain the required financial and scientific assistance.
