Christmas ‘Market of Miracles’ at Gdańsk Tech (12.12)

On Friday, December 12, the academic community of Gdańsk University of Technology will gather to celebrate together during the ‘Market of Miracles’ (Jarmark Cudów) and the lighting of the Eco-tree. The event aims to bring the academic community together and support charitable causes.

Event Schedule

  • 10:30 – 12:00 – Decorating the Eco-tree by the university team.

  • 11:30 – 12:30 – Warming tea and gingerbread cookies accompanied by Christmas songs and carols in front of the Main Building.

  • 12:15 – Ceremonial lighting of the tree lights by His Magnificence Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology.

We present the fifth edition of the Gdańsk University of Technology Sustainability Report, which summarizes the university’s key activities in the areas of science, innovation and responsible development. The document shows how research carried out at Gdańsk Tech translates into modern solutions that benefit both society and the environment.

“As a society, we should strive to develop sustainably, aiming to minimize our negative impact on the environment around us. The quality of the environment determines the comfort of life, health and the well-being of future generations. It is responsible actions that form the foundation of lasting and credible change,” emphasizes Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Research and the report’s academic coordinator, in the introduction to the Report.
