Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for Young Researchers

Applications for the prestigious scholarship for outstanding young researchers are open until 31 December 2025. The programme administered by the Minister of Science and Higher Education is one of the most significant forms of recognition for individuals who — at an early stage of their academic career — already show an impressive research record and dynamic development.

Who may apply for the scholarship?

The competition is open to individuals who, on the date of submitting the application and at the moment the Minister’s decision is issued, meet the criteria of a young researcher.

Applicants who submit their application as doctoral candidates but complete their education in the doctoral school between the date of submission and the date on which the decision is issued may receive the scholarship only if, on the date the decision is issued, they:

Call for Proposals: Erasmus+ Cooperation with Non-Associated Third Countries

The new edition of the Erasmus+ call has been announced. Gdańsk University of Technology invites its staff members to submit proposals for cooperation with higher education institutions from non-associated third countries. Submitted proposals will be included in the university’s application for funding.

ENHANCE Winter School – Commons-based Adaptive Reuse for Student Accommodation

We invite students to join the ENHANCE Winter School focused on the collective and adaptive reuse of existing buildings to create affordable student housing.

The programme (3 + 1 ECTS) combines design, hands-on prototyping and work on governance and self-organisation models within the broader project “Reuse for Affordable Student Housing”.

Participants will engage with a real case — the partially vacant Mathematics Building at TU Berlin — exploring how it can be transformed through minimal interventions and commons-based approaches. The Winter School introduces key debates on the student housing crisis, adaptive reuse, urban commons and real-lab methodologies.

The document shows how research carried out at Gdańsk Tech translates into modern solutions that benefit both society and the environment.

“As a society, we should strive to develop sustainably, aiming to minimize our negative impact on the environment around us. The quality of the environment determines the comfort of life, health and the well-being of future generations. It is responsible actions that form the foundation of lasting and credible change,” emphasizes Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Research and the report’s academic coordinator, in the introduction to the Report.
