As part of the programs coordinated by the International Relations Office, academic staff can go abroad:
1. for training and teaching purposes (Erasmus+ program)
2. in order to implement research projects (Americium IDUB and Europium IDUB programs)
Students eligible for study trips/internships under the Erasmus+ programme who come from marginalised backgrounds (in other words, they are in a difficult financial situation) or have a disability certificate may apply for an additional grant for study visits abroad.
In 2001, on the initiative of Michał Zasada, an organisation was created at Gdansk University of Technology to support foreign exchange among students.
