1.2 million for Gdańsk Tech under the Science for Society program

A contract was concluded between Gdańsk University of Technology and the Minister of Education and Science for the implementation of the project entitled "Optimization of didactic and pro-innovation processes at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering". This is the first project awarded to Gdańsk University of Technology in the Science for Society program.

The aim of the project is, among others:

  • improving the quality of academic teaching and adjusting teaching methodologies to the expectations of contemporary students;
  • strengthening the competences of research teams in the area of the possibility of providing research services for the economic environment and commercialization of research results;
  • increasing the awareness of Polish society in the field of the subject, quality and success of research conducted at universities;
  • disseminating knowledge about the relationship between science, innovation and the economy.

As part of the project, the following activities will be financed:

  • grants for the implementation of didactic innovations,
  • grants for the implementation of pre-implementation works,
  • analysis of patentability of inventions,
  • competitions and workshops for primary and secondary school students and
  • promotion of research results and the effects of cooperation between science and the economic environment.

The value of the project is PLN 1,392,250, and the co-financing value is PLN 1,220,250. The project will be managed by Jerzy Buszke, administrative director of the CEE Faculty.
