In the ranking organized by Times Higher Education THE WUR 2021, Gdańsk University of Technology recorded a decline in the general classification and was assigned to the group of places in the 1001+ range. This decline is related to the greater number of universities participating in the ranking.

In the overview prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science in 2020, Gdańsk Tech was once again announced the second most frequently chosen university in Poland by candidates for studies. Our University obtained a high result (6.5 candidate for one place) and was only overtaken by Poznan University of Technology (6.6 candidate for one place).

In the ARWU 2021 ranking (year of publication: 2021), Gdańsk University of Technology was included in the global ranking for the second time, in the position 801-900 (there were 2 more Polish universities ranked in this position), among 10 universities from Poland classified in the ranking. The 2021/2022 academic year at Gdańsk University of Technology will start on October 1. Intending to gradually restore the normal functioning of the university and taking into account the current epidemic situation in the country, the authorities of Gdańsk University of Technology decided that the classes at the university would be carried out in a hybrid mode: stationary and remote, with a predominance of stationary form.

The basic form of conducting classes will be stationary, but lectures in large groups should be held remotely - in this case, the decisions will be made by the deans of the faculties.

Deans will define the list of classes that will be carried out in a remote or mixed (hybrid) manner on an ongoing basis, and information on this subject is to be posted on the faculty websites.

The Center of Informatics - Tricity Academic Supercomputer and Network (CI TASK) in 2016 introduced a quality management system, in order to improve the quality of the services provided, and by this confirmed that the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 9001: 2009 standard were met.
