The Iconic Scholars program is a tool for implementing the Strategy of Gdańsk University of Technology for 2020-2030 in the field of building scientific excellence by increasing the international recognition of the University and its researchers.

Gdańsk Tech Core Edu Facilities

The Gdańsk Tech Core Edu Facilities program is an element of supporting the implementation of the tasks of the IDUB program from the university's own funds in the effective use of the existing and planned key research infrastructure under Action III.1. Improving the education system at the 1st and 2nd cycle (BSc and MSc) studies.

The funds granted in the first edition of the program constitute scholarships for particularly talented, based on the achievements obtained at the previous educational stage, students beginning full-time studies of the first or second degree at Gdansk University of Technology

Based on the ranking list of evaluated applications presented by the Evaluation Committee, the Rector of Gdansk University of Technology awarded 8 ACTINIUM scholarships to students who scored a minimum of
333 points.

The scholarships were awarded in the amount of PLN 1000 per month for a period of 10 months, i.e. from March 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021 and from October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.

Seminar of the Baltic Sea Region University Network

On 11 June 2021, another seminar of the Baltic Sea Region University Network - BSRUN (Baltic Sea Region University Network) was held. "University Management Reforms in Poland - Expectations and Experiences".

The topic of the seminar was sparked by the interest of Latvian partners who are trying to introduce a new law on higher education in their country. At this stage, many questions and doubts arose regarding, for example, defining the competences and powers of University Councils. Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, vice-rector for organization and development invited prof. Tomasz Klimczuk, a member of the University Council and prof. Maciej Duszczyk, chairman of the University Council of the University of Gdańsk to take part in the meeting.

The decision from the 1st stage of the allocation of places may be appealed to the Appeal Scholarship Committee by June 20, 2021. The procedure for submitting appeals is the same as for submitting applications, i.e. between 17 and 20 June, 2021, you must complete the application only via the electronic form available on your individual student account on the MojaPG portal in the Scholarships module.

On June 21, the enrollment for the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, run jointly with two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk - Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery and Institute of Hydro-Engineering, started. Candidates can apply for the program in Gdańsk Tech application system until Thursday, July 8, at 9 a.m. CEST

The school offers free doctoral training in English in 12 disciplines.
