Web of Science Research Assistant – new AI tool in test version

Web of Science Research Assistant

We invite you to try the Web of Science Research Assistant, a new tool that helps researchers search for, organize, and analyze scientific literature.

The assistant uses artificial intelligence to:

  • suggest search terms,
  • create bibliographies,
  • provide quick overviews of key publications on a topic,
  • visualize search results.

The test access is available until April 21, 2025.

The Young Researchers Office invites PhD students to participate in the first ‘Young Researchers Forum’. The aim of the meeting is to jointly diagnose the training needs of young researchers, including in the areas of teaching, entrepreneurship, and psychology.

The continuation of the 1st Young Researchers Forum will be classes ‘Teamwork in a psychological context’, covering 10 hours. The classes will take place on 27 May and 17 June this year from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Creative Room in the Hydromechanics building. They will be led by Agnieszka Lendzion, Ph.D. Registration is required.

Professor Edmund Wittbrodt with Distinction for Outstanding Contributions to the Pomeranian Voivodeship

Professor Edmund Wittbrodt has been honored with the "Distinction for Merits to the Pomeranian Voivodeship." This award was granted in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of the region and his dedication to strengthening the position of Pomeranian science, particularly in the field of technical sciences.

The award ceremony took place on 31 March 2025 during the 13th session of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Assembly. Marshal Mieczysław Struk, delivering the laudation, emphasized the fact that the awarding of this distinction is an expression of gratitude for Professor Wittbrodt's invaluable achievements for Pomerania. The Marshal also noted that the professor, thanks to his openness to dialogue and consistent actions, is able to unite people around common goals, while remaining modest and full of distance to himself.

The inclusion of new data, metrics and connections permit linking the impact of research publications on the wider society and innovation by incorporating citations from policies and patents. Web of Science Researcher Profiles and Web of Science records now include new metrics and data to enable research producers to provide evidence of the wider impact of research.
