Successes of Members of the Young Researchers Team

On 10 December 2025, during a ceremonial meeting of the Senate of Gdańsk University of Technology, awards were presented to University staff for outstanding scientific, research and development, artistic, individual, teaching and organisational achievements, as well as for Long Service and merits for Gdańsk University of Technology. Among the awardees were individuals affiliated with the Young Researchers Office.

The ENHANCE Summit 2025 has wrapped up in Warsaw, bringing together students, academics, researchers and staff from nine leading European Universities of Technology. Hosted by the Warsaw University of Technology with generous support from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), this year’s edition (Dec 2–4) marked a major moment in ENHANCE’s five-year journey (yes — we’re celebrating!) and in the ongoing transformation towards a more connected, innovative and competitive European Higher Education Area.

First place in Poland and a rise in the global ranking for Gdańsk University of Technology in UI GreenMetric 2025

Green Metric
UI GreenMetric is an international ranking that evaluates universities worldwide in terms of their actions for sustainable development.

Gdańsk University of Technology has participated in the ranking since 2018. In the 2025 edition, the university achieved the best result in its history, placing 130th in the world (up from 199th in 2024), 38th in Europe, and 1st in Poland. Previously, the university’s highest position was 137th in 2021; however, at that time only 956 institutions were ranked, while in 2025 the number reached 1,745.

Gdańsk Tech awarded for publication and management quality

November turned out to be a month of exceptional distinctions for the Gdańsk University of Technology. Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech, received two important awards, confirming that the Gdańsk University of Technology is among the very best in Poland. They highlight the high quality of scientific publications and the professional management of the university.

The awards were presented during two key events for the academic community: the LUMEN 2025 conference and the CRASP meeting, both held in Krakow.
