Summary of a study visit in Amsterdam

How does the Dutch government support universities in promoting the emotional health of students? What wellbeing initiatives are undertaken by students themselves? These and many other questions were asked by the International Relations Office during the study visit in Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam on 7-9 February.

In mid-September 2022, the International Relations Office at Gdańsk University of Technology launched a project named „Hey, are you ok?”. The main objective of the project is to support the emotional health of students and staff. The tasks within the project include study visits at European universities that offer wellbeing programs.

Gdańsk University of Technology once again expressed its willingness to confirm its competences within the framework of 'European University Association - Institutional Evaluation Programme' (EUA-IEP).

In September 2018, Gdańsk University of Technology received the right to use the EUA-IEP distinction. After 5 years, we applied for follow-up evaluation. A self-evaluation report has been prepared, and on March 20-24, 2023, the IEP team will visit Gdańsk University of Technology.

Announcement of the results of the 3rd edition of Aurum Supporting International Research Team Building

In the 3rd edition of the Aurum Supporting International Research Team Building program, more than PLN 2.5 million was awarded.

The funds awarded under the competition will influence and enrich the scientific potential of Gdansk University of Technology. Under the program, new research teams will be formed, led by PG scientists conducting research with foreign scientists.

In the completed call, 14 high-potential applications were submitted, of which 7 received funding:

1. Project title: "Research Group - SUP&ER - Study of urban energy efficiency and solar efficiency".

[Update 21.03.2023] Information Meeting for 2nd-year PhD Students regarding Mid-Term Evaluation

An informational meeting regarding Mid-term evaluation for second-year PhD students at the Doctoral School at the Gdansk University of Technology, will be held on 16.03.2023 (Thursday) at 1 PM. The meeting will be in English and in online format on the ClickMeeting platform.

Encores and standing ovations. Musical farewell to the carnival with the Gdańsk Tech Choir

Chór
Concert "AH! Gdańsk Tech Carnival” under the patronage of prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular hits by Queen, Abba and many others. An hour-long performance of the Gdańsk University of Technology Choir under the baton of prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by jazz musicians from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz ended with singing together, encores and a standing ovation.
