World University Rankings by Subject 2023 results
Times Higher Education has announced the results of the World University Rankings by Subject 2023. Gdansk Tech was ranked in 4 categories: Business and Economy, Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences. In two of them we achieved the best result in Poland!

In the Business and economy category, Gdańsk Tech was ranked in the 401-500 range, which is the best result among the 16 ranked Polish universities. We achieved the best result in the Poland in the "Citations" criterion (70.8 points), the criteria "Industry income"(34.4 points) and "International outlook" (20.8 points) were also highly rated.  It is worth noting that the Gdańsk Tech is ranked in this category for the first time.

BioLAB program: informational meetings and enrollment opening

The Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission invites Master’s and PhD students of life sciences, biophysics and medical fields of study to submit applications for the BioLAB 2023-24 Program. The call for applications lasts until February 1, 2023.

The BioLAB program allows to complete a one-year research internship in a laboratory located in one of four institutions in the US:

The final ceremony of the "Bike to University" campaign!

"Bike to University" campaign!
The closing ceremony of the "Bike to University" campaign was held on October 21th. The campaign was organized by Gdańsk Tech and the University of Gdańsk, which cooperate as the Fahrenheit University Association. 

From May to September, more than 260 employees of the Gdańsk Tech registered their bicycle or scooter rides to and from work in a system specially prepared by the IT Services Centre (CUI), and received gadgets useful in their daily bicycle trips. Employees registered a total of 11 867 trips and rode a total of more than 90 000 kilometers, which is more than twice the circumference of the Earth! The best participant of the campaign rode more than 3 000 kilometers!

Call for applications in the Actinium Supporting Most Talented Candidates program is underway (14.10-14.11)

Actinium
The goal of the program is to increase the effectiveness of Gdansk University of Technology in competing for the most talented candidates for studies, in fields corresponding to the subject matter of POB Centers. The way to achieve the goal is through scholarships for particularly talented, based on the achievements obtained at the previous educational stage, students entering full-time studies of the first or second degree at Gdansk University of Technology. Budget and conditions for project implementation

The scholarship in the ACTINIUM program is PLN 1,000 per month and is awarded for a period of 10 months.

Applications for the scholarship can be submitted by first-year students admitted to full-time studies of the first or second degree, who have achieved high results in the qualification procedure and have shown particular activity and outstanding achievements during their education so far.

Office closed

CLOSED
On Monday, October 31st and on Tuesday, November 1st, the International Relations Office in building no. 14 and the Welcome Office in building no. 11 will be closed. We invite Gdańsk Tech staff and students again on Wednesday, November 2nd.

The two-day break in the operation of the International Relations Office and the Welcome Office is related to All Saints Day on November 1st and the long weekend. During this time, most of Gdańsk University of Technology units will be closed.

Call for 3rd edition of Plutonium Supporting Student Research Teams (24.10-9.12.22)

Plutonium
The aim of the Program is to support the activities of student research clubs, which constitute the natural environment for the selection of leaders of research groups, organizational leaders and leaders initiating new research areas.

Technetium
The aim of the TECHNETIUM program is to support the activity of mentors - academic teachers - caring for especially gifted students who are involved in research activities in PRA Centers.
