Scholarships are awarded in accordance with the Code of Administrative Procedure, so under administrative law, you can appeal if you disagree with the decision. If the Scholarship Committee finds that the appeal is justified, it most often issues a new decision "under the self-control procedure". Otherwise, the SC provides all documentation to the Appeal Scholarship Committee, which examines the appeal. Most often, the appeal is considered within 30 days from the date of filing.
When to appeal?
The appeal must be submitted within 14 days from the date of receipt of the decision, after carefully reading its content. If you submit it before receiving the decision, the ASC declares the appeal inadmissible by way of a decision.
How to file an appeal?
The appeal should be submitted in the same way as the application for the scholarship was submitted. Appeals are not generated in the MojaPG system. However, after delivery to the SC, it is registered in the system so that the student can track the status of their letter (the statuses are the same as in the case of applications).
The appeal should contain an appropriate justification to which the Committee may refer.
There is no published appeal template. You should write yourself a letter addressed to the Appeal Scholarship Committee and submit it to the Scholarship Committee. The appeal must be signed.
Application submitted electronically
The appeal should be sent to the ePUAP mailbox of the University: / politechnikagdanska / SkrytkaESP (when searching for the recipient: "POLITECHNIKA GDAŃSKA (80-233 GDAŃSK, WOJ. POMORSKIE"). The content of the appeal should be entered in the field to complete the letter on the MojGOV platform. Please do not attach separate pdf files with the content of the appeal, because the vast majority of these appeals are not signed with a qualified electronic signature and, as a result, cannot be considered.
Sample subject of the letter: Appeal against the decision on scholarship No. XXXXX.
Application submitted on paper
The appeal must be submitted in the form of a paper document, i.e. a printed or handwritten letter, with the name of the appellant, the heading "Appeal against decision xxxxx" and the handwritten signature of the appellant.
Submit the appeal in a white, unsigned file to the Scholarship Committee using one of the following methods:
- in person at the office of the Scholarship Committee (Bratniak building, room 205, 204) during the duty hours;
- by throwing into the inbox on the ground floor of the Bratniak building (near the reception desk) during the campus opening hours (it is emptied in the morning around 8 am - the date of submission of the application is the previous day);
- via Poczta Polska or another provider of postal services to the following address:
