What is a decision?

The status of the application "granted" or "declined" in the MojaPG system is not a decision, but only information for the student what decision to expect.

The decision is a paper or electronic document (signed with a qualified electronic signature) containing:
- a preamble with the legal basis for the issued decision,
- the text of the decision, i.e. information on whether the scholarship was awarded, in what amount, and for what period;
- justification, especially important if the scholarship was refused - you will find out why from the justification,
- instruction containing information on appealing against a decision and waiving the right to appeal.

Receipt of the decision

You may be asked to collect the decision in person at the seat of the Scholarship Committee, we will contact you by phone or email. Information may also appear on our website. The remaining paper decisions are sent by Poczta Polska to the Polish correspondence addresses provided in the MojaPG system (optionally: registered address or place of residence). Mail not received is advised and can be picked up at a post office for 14 days, after which, if it is not picked up, it returns to Gdańsk University of Technology and is treated as collected. As a result, the time limit for lodging the appeal begins to run.

Decisions for applications sent electronically are delivered using the same method - to the student's ePUAP mailbox from which the application was sent. In this case, the notification mechanism works similarly, i.e. from the delivery of the decision to the mailbox, there are 14 days for its collection.

Termination of the decision

The decision to grant a student benefit expires on the last day of the month in which:
- the student was finally removed from the list of students

- the student graduated from the field in which he/she was receiving the benefit
- the student lost the right to the benefit due to exceeding the period of study (9 semesters - first-cycle students, 12 semesters - second-cycle students).

According to the above-mentioned statutory rules, you will not receive a scholarship in February if you defend your thesis in January, similarly, you will not receive a scholarship in July in the case of the June defense, even if the decision provides for granting the scholarship till February / July.
