The Gdańsk Tech among the partners in the construction of the Baltic AI GigaFactory

The Baltic AI GigaFactory investment is of key importance for the development of digital technologies in Poland and Europe. Its goal is to create at least two hyperscale data centers that will support the development of modern artificial intelligence models based on artificial neural networks. This joint initiative by Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia aims to develop computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence in Central and Eastern Europe. The construction and development of such facilities is essential to maintaining Europe's competitiveness in the global tech race.

Representatives from the science, industry, business, and public administration sectors have been invited to collaborate on the project.

Young Researchers Forum and Debate on AI

On Friday, October 24th, the next edition of the Young Researchers Forum took place. This time, it was held in the form of an Oxford-style debate and concluded with a networking session.

Two teams of young researchers, led respectively by Damian Głowienka PhD, Deputy Chair of the Young Researchers Team, and Aleksandra Ławniczak Msc, Chair of the Doctoral Students’ Council of Gdańsk Tech, faced off in a debate on the motion: Artificial intelligence has a positive impact on our lives and the development of science.
