On March 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the TRIZ Methodology: "Unlock Your Brain" conference will take place. The event will be held in the Auditorium of the Eco-Innovation Center of Gdańsk Tech. Participation requires prior registration.
TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) is an engineering methodology that offers a systematic approach to innovation, enabling effective solutions to technical and organizational problems. Our doctoral student and his team wins international architectural and planning competition
We are proud to announce that Bahaa Bou Kalfouni, a doctoral student of Doctoral School at Gdańsk Tech, scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture, who began his training in the a.y. 2021/2022 under the supervision of prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Piotr Lorens from Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning and his team from Palestine and Jordan, won first place in an international architectural and planning competition organized by the Union of Mediterranean Architects (UMAR).
The competition, titled “The Revival of Gaza Seaport: Water as a Catalyzer” was part of a summer school held in Amman, Jordan. This event provided a platform for emerging architects and planners from across the Mediterranean region to showcase their talents, gain exposure, and engage with their communities, all within the context of a Mediterranean agenda and knowledge exchange.

A survey diagnosing the types of barriers faced by young researchers at Gdańsk Tech
Two years have passed since we started implementing changes at the Gdańsk University of Technology, resulting from the voice of young Gdańsk Tech scientists expressed in a survey diagnosing the barriers that stand in the way of the development of young researchers at Gdańsk Tech (Research report, activities for young scientists, events).
In order to be able to compare working conditions, the types of barriers encountered, and to enable the introduction of expected changes, Young Researchers Office and Team will once again invite young scientists to complete a survey diagnosing the types of barriers at Gdańsk Tech. The survey will be available online from 10 to 23 March 2025.

“Active Parent” program for PhD students
As of October 1, 2024, the “Active Parent” program started. The program concerns support for parents of children up to 3 years old. It is intended to make it easier for parents and caregivers to reconcile the tasks of parenthood and professional activity.
