IQM Quantum Computers expands operations to Poland and inks MoU with Gdańsk Tech

As part of the expansion, IQM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gdańsk University of Technology, a leading technical university in Poland, to develop cutting-edge quantum applications, focusing on transformative fields such as personalised medicine.  

Poland marks the company's seventh global office, joining offices in the US, APAC, and four top European quantum countries, with talents from 47 nationalities. The expansion reflects the company's growth, fueled by the adoption of its quantum computers.

The International Cooperation Center of Gdańsk University of Technology invites international candidates for undergraduate and graduate studies to participate in informational webinars dedicated to the admission process [Wednesday, May 29].

The webinars will be held on Wednesday, May 29. No prior registration is required - simply click the link on the day of the event to join the meeting on MS Teams. During the webinars, study candidates will be able to obtain information about the admission process, required documents, deadlines, fees, etc. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Cooperation of seaside universities. Gdańsk Tech and Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi have signed an agreement

The contract was signed by prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Gdańsk Tech rector, and prof. Mahmut Ak, rector of Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi.
Gdańsk University of Technology is strengthening ties with other universities. On 8 May 2024 prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, signed a framework agreement on cooperation with Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi from Izmir, Turkey. This is an important step in the further development of relations between these institutions and an opportunity to exchange scientific and educational experiences.

The agreement was signed as part of an official visit that took place on 8 - 9 May 2024. Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech and prof. Marek Dzida from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology went to Izmir. The signatory on the part of Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi was prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, rector of the university.

Gdańsk University of Technology to host an international promotion strategies conference

On June 6, 2024, Gdańsk University of Technology will be hosting the “Summit on international promotion in HEI” in Competence Center STOS, under the patronage of the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde. Experts from global higher education-related institutions will share their experience and knowledge on promoting university effectively. Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office is responsible for the organization and program of the event. The conference is part of the NAWA “Welcome to Poland” program. 

In June 2023, Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office (IRO) started a project “Międzynarodowa promocja Politechniki Gdańskiej” (“International promotion of Gdańsk University of Technology”), financed by NAWA, “Welcome to Poland 2022” program. From the obtained funds – approximately PLN 300,000 – Gdańsk Tech will pay for, among others: two new promotional films, a photo session, employee training, and promotion of the university on the Internet.
