Call for proposals for the PRELUDIUM 25 competition (until 16.06.2026)

The National Science Centre has announced the next edition of the PRELUDIUM competition for researchers without a PhD degree. This is an ideal opportunity for PhD students to gain valuable experience and fund their first, fully independent research project.

Applicants can apply for funding for projects involving basic research. The project duration can be 12, 24, or 36 months.

The proposal must be submitted electronically via the OSF system. Detailed information, competition documentation, and guidelines for applicants are available directly on the NCN website.

Call for proposals for the OPUS 31 competition (until 16.06.2026)

The National Science Centre has announced the next edition of the OPUS 31 competition for researchers at all stages of their scientific careers, who have at least one publication.

Applicants can apply for funding for projects involving basic research. The project duration can be 12, 24, 36, or 48 months. Under the competition, funds can be obtained for, among others, salaries, scholarships, purchase of research equipment, or business trips. The budget of this year's edition is PLN 550 million, and the NCN does not set an upper funding limit for a single proposal.

Gdańsk Tech officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Young Generation Foundation

The agreement focuses on supporting international activities in the areas of promotion, education, research, and organizational development, in line with the statutory missions of both institutions.

Gdańsk Tech was represented by the Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Prof. Józef E. Sienkiewicz, while the Foundation was represented by its President of the Management Board, Mateusz Świerzyński on  March 18, 2026. This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening international collaboration and expanding opportunities for joint initiatives.

Call for applications for the 9th edition of the Bekker NAWA Programme (do 29.05.2026)

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) announces the opening of a new call for applications in the Bekker NAWA Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for doctoral candidates and researchers from our university to develop their research careers internationally and join nearly 1,000 fellows in 46 countries around the world.
By participating in the programme, you gain the opportunity to:
  • complete part of your doctoral education in renowned foreign institutions,

  • collect unique materials for your research,

  • establish cooperation with outstanding international researchers and teams (in last year’s edition, the most frequently chosen host institutions included the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
