RWTH Aachen student completes research stay at Gdańsk University of Technology

Between December and February, Gdańsk University of Technology hosted a student from RWTH Aachen University, a member of the ENHANCE – European Universities of Technology Alliance. The three-month research stay was carried out within the framework of the NAWA Programme “Support for European Universities” (Wsparcie Uniwersytetów Europejskich).

During his stay, the student conducted research in the laboratories of Gdańsk University of Technology under the supervision of a mentor, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning new experimental techniques. According to the participant, the time spent in Gdańsk was both scientifically rewarding and personally inspiring.

Inaugural Meeting of the “Universities of the Future” Project at Gdańsk Tech

On 3 March 2026, the inaugural meeting of the second call for applications to the “Universities of the Future” project took place. It was the first formal meeting of the participating students with the University Project Team, during which the next stages of the project and the forms of support available within the Personalised Education Model (MES) were presented.

A total of 12 projects from Gdańsk University of Technology were selected for the programme, including five team projects.

Free Legal Consultations for Foreigners

Foreign employees, PhD candidates, and students are invited to take advantage of free legal consultations organized as part of the project funded by the NAWA program “Welcome to Poland.”

We offer support in the following areas:

  • legalization of stay in Poland

  • employment of family members

  • access to the education system

  • access to the healthcare system

Two New International Learning Opportunities from Politecnico di Milano

At the end of 2025, Politecnico di Milano (Polimi) launched an internal call for new educational initiatives. As a result, two international courses have been developed and will be available to students in the coming months. Both programs were created in collaboration with European partner universities and offer the possibility to participate either on-site or online.

The first course, Deep Learning–Driven Design under Dynamic Loads,” was jointly developed by Polimi and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The program is intended for MSc and PhD students. Classes will be delivered in hybrid mode from April 7 to June 24, and the application period runs from February 19 to March 12 (until 12:00 PM).

The Nitrogenium Supporting Excellence In Publishing program is part of the implementation of the tasks of the “Initiative of Excellence - Research University” program in the field of improving the quality of scientific activity at the university. Its aim is to support the publication of research results of PG employees and doctoral students in the best global scientific journals.
