Update of mobility rules for staff in the Erasmus+ program

We encourage teaching and support staff to read about the rules of mobilities under the Erasmus+ program updated with information on the maximum number of mobilities for training.

Pursuant to the "Rules for the allocation of funding for mobility projects in the higher education sector in the Erasmus+ Program for the 2022 call for proposals” when organizing staff mobility, the university is bound by the following guidelines:

Appeals against the SH decision (stage II)

The decision from the 1st stage of the allocation of places may be appealed to the Appeal Scholarship Committee by June 23, 2023. The procedure for submitting appeals is the same as for submitting applications, i.e. between 20 and 23 June, 2023, you must complete the application only via the electronic form available on your individual student account on the MojaPG portal in the Scholarships module. You do not need to print the application or bring it anywhere.

Students of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of Gdańsk University of Technology, participants of the AI Tech program, met at New York University with Professor Yann LeCun. The scientist is considered a pioneer of convolutional neural networks, which have become a key proposal stimulating the modern development of artificial intelligence.

Professor Yann LeCun received the Turing Award in 2018 (often treated as the "Nobel Prize in Computer Science"). In addition to his work at a New York college, he is vice president and principal AI researcher at Meta (Facebook). Students of the ETI Faculty, together with their supervisor, professor Jacek Rumiński, were invited to a meeting with the team of professor Yann LeCun to discuss the mutually conducted work.

8th seminar Advanced Materials Center

8th seminar

The eighth seminar of the Advanced Materials Center will be held on June 27 at 2:15 pm in Auditorium 1L of WETI B (Building 42). Katarzyna Zakrzewska from the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Stanislaw Staszic University of Science and Technology in Krakow will give a lecture entitled "TiO2-a fascinating material of the future?" and Dorota Pijanowska from the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Science will give a lecture entitled "The future of biosensors - to be label-free?".

In the period July - September 2022, a survey was conducted among young researchers examining barriers to their development at the Gdańsk Tech. 42% of respondents answered the survey. Researchers identified the problems they face in various areas of functioning at Gdańsk Tech. The survey report is available after logging in to Strefa Pracownika (Employee Zone).
