Laboratory for Optoelectronic Measurements of Innovative Materials and Displays

The laboratory allows the study of the internal structures of technical and biological objects by optical methods, as well as allows spectral studies of objects for the lighting industry (new types of LED light sources), protective layers, unique layers for medical applications, including studies of the spectral characteristics of information visualization elements and modules.

An online monitoring system for detection of contamination in rainwater drainage systems and rainwater retention tanks, will be jointly developed by researchers from Gdańsk, Kraków and Łódź. The system, equipped with advanced biosensors and artificial intelligence, is to support effective water management in the city in times of climate change. Successes of the Doctoral School in the implementation of the HR4R Strategy: EC visit

On June 16, representatives of the European Commission (EC) visited the University to evaluate the implementation of HR4R activities.

The Doctoral School was recognized, among other things, for implementing a recruitment policy based on open, transparent, merit-based recruitment principles, known as the OTM-R Policy, and for its internationalization efforts. It also emphasizes that the recruitment process at the Doctoral School is exemplary in this regard.
