ENHANCE invites - seminar on intercultural communication

We invite Gdańsk Tech bachelor and master students to sign up for the "Intercultural Basic Qualification" free-of-charge seminar organized by Technical University in Berlin (February/March 2023). The registration deadline is February 19th. Don't miss it!

In 2022, Gdańsk University of Technology joined ENHANCE - an association of 10 European technical universities. Thanks to the presence in ENHANCE, Gdańsk Tech students have the opportunity to participate in winter and summer schools, seminars and other interesting events on various topics. The next such event will be organized by Technical University in Berlin - also ENHANCE member. This time the main topic of the meeting will be intercultural communication. Don't miss it!

"Exam Session Emergency Tips" - on the run-up to exams

The exam session at Gdańsk University of Technology begins on 28 January. There is not much time left before the exams, but every student knows that the last days before taking the exam are crucial. How to plan your studies, how to help yourself and concentrate better, how to learn more effectively and find time to rest?

Prof. Joanna Mytnik, director of the Center for Innovative Education, whose passion is designing methods, tools and entire learning ecosystems, has prepared some tips for all students. It's worth trying them out!

Participation of Hungarian universities in the Erasmus+

Due to numerous inquiries regarding the participation of universities in Hungary in the Erasmus+ Programme, we publish below the official announcement of the Polish National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program on this matter.

"Information on the participation of Hungarian universities

Change of the income threshold entitling to receive a maintenance scholarship

In connection with the changes of Polish law, the maximum amount of monthly income per person in a student's family entitling to be granted with a maintenance scholarship has changed from January, the 1st.

As a result of an agreement between the Rector, the Scholarship Committee and the Student Self-Government of Gdańsk University of Technology, in the academic year 2022/2023 the income threshold set at Gdańsk University of Technology was PLN 1,050 (according to the law, the maximum threshold was PLN 1,051.70). Change of the law made it possible to raise the previously set threshold from January 2023 to the amount of PLN 1,294.

Who can apply?

If you are a graduate of a master degree program (master level of studies) and have a master's degree, you can participate in the admissions to our school. If you are finishing your master's degree (you are in the last semester), but have not yet defended your thesis, you can also apply. However, you will have to defend your thesis by the end of September at the latest.

„Excellence Initiative – Research University” program (Polish acronym IDUB) has been implemented for over two years now at Gdańsk University of Technology. Using the additional subsidy granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MEiN) allows to support different recipients: researchers, students, doctoral students, teaching and administrative staff of the University, as part of over 30 internal grant programs. In 2022, almost 600 grant and scholarship applications were filed in 21 competitions. Nearly 300 projects and initiatives were commenced or completed.

Support for research projects and initiation of the international cooperation

Ventus-Hydrogenii-Redivivus (VHR) is the new program launched in 2022, offering funding  even up to a million zloty.
