STEM Webinars – Female STEM Stories Unfold | Next Session: 3 March 2026

Webinar series organized by RWTH Aachen as part of the ENHANCE University Alliance. The initiative has a training-focused character and concentrates on gender and diversity in STEM.

The webinars are led by STEM Ambassadors – female students and researchers who share their experiences in fields such as engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, bioinformatics, and sustainable design.

[3rd and 4th year PhD students] Information meeting on the completion of PhD training

On March 2 (Monday), from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, there will be a meeting between the School Authorities and PhD students of the 3rd and 4th year. The meeting will be held online.

Important: Attendance of PhD students of the 4th year is mandatory.

Meeting of the YRT. Recommendations for the HR4R Strategy 2026–2028

On 21 February this year, a meeting of members of the Young Resaerchers Team of Gdańsk University of Technology was held, dedicated to developing recommendations for the new HR4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) for 2026–2028.

The aim of the meeting was to propose solutions addressing the barriers identified in a survey conducted among young researchers in March 2025, as well as areas that require strengthening in the coming years of implementing the European Charter for Researchers.

Professor Andrzej Januszajtis, Honorary Citizen of Gdańsk, has passed away

It is with deepest regret that we received the news of the passing of Andrzej Januszajtis, a scientist and long-time employee of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The professor passed away on 22 January 2026. He was 97 years old.

Professor Andrzej Januszajtis was a figure of particular merit both for Gdańsk and for our university. He devoted his entire professional life to the Gdańsk University of Technology – as a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, a researcher, co-founder and first dean of the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, as well as the author of one of the most highly regarded academic textbooks, i.e.

Results of the Actinium 2025/26 program recruitment process

The funds allocated under the second edition of the program constitute scholarships for particularly talented students, based on their achievements at the previous stage of education, who are starting full-time first or second cycle studies at Gdańsk University of Technology.

Based on the ranking list of evaluated applications presented by the Evaluation Committee, the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology awarded:

Applying for a dormitory for the summer semester 25/26 - stage VII

Dormitory no. 9
On February 19, 2026, it will be possible to submit an application for a place in a student dormitory for the summer semester in the so-called stage VII.

Students beginning their studies at Gdańsk University of Technology in the 2025/2026 summer semester, as well as students who do not have a dormitory place, can apply on this date. Results will be published on February 20, 2026. Dormitory transfers will not be permitted in stage VII of the allocation process. Upon receiving a positive decision, a deposit of PLN 700 must be paid.
