Reaxys Academic Edition

New chemical database, provides a fast, easy way to explore and use chemistry literature and data from journal and patent sources.

Provide access to the Reaxys Base module, which contains a set of data from earlier Beilstein databases (structures and reactions, physicochemical and ecopharmacological properties, and a bibliography for organic compounds) and artificial intelligence-based modules: Reaxys Target and Bioactivity and Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis.

TU Berlin invites students to participate in the Summer School 2024

TU Berlin, one of the leading technical universities in Germany, invites students from around the world to join courses offered during the Summer School (July 1 - August 23, 2024). We encourage students from Gdańsk Tech to register for this event.

As part of the Summer School organized by TU Berlin, students can participate in courses covering topics such as computer science, sustainable development, design, entrepreneurship, and many other interesting and relevant subjects. We encourage students from Gdańsk Tech to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in this unique initiative.

Karolina Górnicka, PhD, Eng. will go on an internship to a US government laboratory

Karolina Górnicka, PhD, Eng. from the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics has been invited to a two-year postdoctoral internship at the US government laboratory: Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The laboratory is part of the United States Department of Energy.

The scientist works as an assistant professor in the Department of Highly Correlated Electronic Systems at the Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering under the supervision of prof. Tomasz Klimczuk. She is a laureate of Diamond Grant and Scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for young scientists.

Open call: Erasmus+ cooperation with third countries (open until January 15th)

The International Relations Office encourages faculties to participate in a project related to the mobility of students and staff within the Erasmus+ program - cooperation with non-associated countries. The deadline for submitting applications is January 15.

In early 2024, Gdańsk University of Technology will again apply for funding for student mobility (outgoing/incoming for studies and internships) and staff mobility (outgoing/incoming for training and lectures) within the Erasmus+ program - cooperation with third countries, non-associated (known as KA171).

Electro-waste collection stations among the winning projects in the Gdańsk Tech Civic Budget

The academic community decided which projects will be implemented on the university's premises in 2024 as part of the Gdańsk Tech Civic Budget funds. One of the winning staff projects is the establishment of 3 outdoor collection stations for small electro-waste on the campus.

Small electro-waste: why is it important to recycle it?

Electro-waste, i.e. used electrical and electronic equipment, is an increasing part of the waste generated by humans. Do we realise how important it is to handle these small but potentially harmful items properly?

Vice-Rector of Vietnamese Dong A University in Da Nang visits Gdańsk Tech

Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice-Rector of Dong A University in Da Nang, Vietnam, is at Gdańsk University of Technology as part of the Einsteinium program within the Excellence Initiative - Research University. On Monday, 18 December, Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan was the guest of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech. The researcher will give a lecture at the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology.

The meeting of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech and Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice-Rector of Don A University, was an opportunity to talk and exchange experiences between the representatives of two seaside universities.  During the meeting, Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan also made an entry in the Commemorative Book of Gdańsk Tech.
