Gdańsk Tech Library in the new academic year
The academic year 2022/2023 will traditionally begin at Gdańsk University of Technology at the beginning of October. We would like to invite you to information library meetings in the Library Hall in the Main Building, which take place from Monday to Friday from 4 to 14 October, always at 1000, 1200 and 1400.
IB - Telemedicine, health informatics, and computer-aided diagnosis and therapy
Research in this field focuses on three aspects:
- Telemedicine is the field of science and engineering involving the design and application of methods that provide diagnosis, therapy support, medical recommendations, patient monitoring, and other health-related services using remote techniques. The goal of this research field is also to develop such methods and systems that can improve patient outcomes by increasing access to healthcare services and medical, reliable information.
IB - Chemistry in medicine
The research in this area is mostly realized at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biochemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry, and include the following experimental research:
IB - Human-related microorganisms in the environment
Research activities cover a wide range of subjects related to innovative investigations and modern approaches to transmission and impacts of microorganisms within the natural/built environment on human health.
IB - Environment and health
Human health and well-being is intimately linked to the state of the environment. Good quality natural environments provide basic needs, in terms of clean air and water as well as soil for food production. It also provides important recreation opportunities and supports well-being.
IB - Biotechnology
