Gdańsk Tech with a record number of eight subjects in the GRAS 2025 ranking

The Gdańsk University of Technology achieved its best result ever in ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2025. This year's edition ranked as many as eight academic subjects represented by Gdańsk Tech, which is a significant increase compared to 2019-2024, when the university was ranked in two or three areas.

The highest-ranked subject at the Gdańsk University of Technology is Marine/Ocean Engineering, which was ranked in the 76-100 range globally, taking first place in Poland. Instruments Science & Technology was also ranked high, being placed in the 151-200 range globally and in the 1-3 range in Poland. The following subjects were also ranked high:

Workshop ENHANCE for young researchers

On 12 November 2025, a workshop for young researchers was held in the Creative Room of the Hydromechanics Building, organised as part of the ‘ENHANCE+ VP Research Meeting’.

The event brought together doctoral candidates representing Gdańsk University of Technology as well as other partner universities within the Alliance. It laid the foundations for the joint future project ‘ENHANCE for and with Young Researchers’.
