[PhD students] Update of the individual research proposal template

As of the AY 2025/2026, the IRP template has been changed. The current version is available under the tab: Doctoral Students -> Formalities -> Download materials -> Templates (available after logging). 

Important: The template applies to PhD students from the AY 2025/2026 enrollment for the submission of the first IRP and to PhD students from the AY 2024/2025 enrollment for the submission of IRP updates, whereas PhD students from other enrollments (before the AY 2024/2025) may use both the old and the new template for submitting IRP updates, in accordance with the School's regulations (a PhD student may update their IRP after the mid-term evaluation process at the earliest) - please indicate what the completed document refers to.

Eco-Electrodes from Gdańsk Tech to Remove Pharmaceuticals from Wastewater

A research team at Gdańsk University of Technology has developed electrodes capable of efficiently oxidizing pharmaceutical compounds commonly found in wastewater. These electrodes are not only technologically innovative but also more sustainable in terms of production. Additionally, they are easier to manage after the end of their life cycle compared to currently available market alternatives. The results of this research have been published in Nano-Micro Letters, one of the leading journals in this field.

The aim of this interdisciplinary team – comprising researchers and doctoral students from three faculties of Gdańsk Tech – was to develop a novel method for producing durable, high-performance 3D-printed carbon electrodes, suitable for both electrochemical wastewater treatment and sensitive detection of trace substances.

A Taste of University Life at Gdańsk Tech: “Politechnika Talentów” Summer School Wraps Up

Nearly 200 top high school students from the Pomeranian region got a glimpse of what it’s like to study at Gdańsk University of Technology during the third edition of “Politechnika Talentów”, the university’s summer school initiative. The two-day event combined hands-on learning with opportunities for integration and student life experiences.

The summer school kicked off on Thursday morning, 18 September, with participants gathering in Fahrenheit Courtyard to take part in coaching and integration workshops led by Milena Chomik and Karolina Laskowska from Gdańsk’s Talent Development Centre.

The official opening ceremony took place in the Gdańsk Tech Main Hall, and was led by Rector Prof. Krzysztof Wilde.
