Gdańsk University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona

Vice rectors signing an agreement.
Gdańsk University of Technology has taken another step in strengthening academic relations between Poland and Sweden, with particular focus on the field of marine engineering. On Thursday, 13 November, in the Senate Hall, the university authorities signed a cooperation agreement with the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Karlskrona.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Józef Sienkiewicz, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Vanja Lindberg, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of BTH. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Mariusz Deja, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, Prof. Wojciech Litwin, Director of the Institute of Shipbuilding, Dr. Eng. Marek Chodnicki, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, as well as BTH students.

Informational Meeting for 1st-Year doctoral students (Nov 26th)

We warmly invite all first-year doctoral students to an informational meeting, which will take place on 26 November 2025 at 16:00 in Auditorium Novum.

During the meeting, we will cover topics such as:

  • The key stages of the doctoral training process and doctoral dissertation development
  • The study programme and requirements related to its completion
  • Preparing the Individual Research Proposal
  • Publication requirements
  • Opportunities for additional scholarships and mobility programmes

A Q&A session is planned during the meeting.

Wroclaw University of Economics and Business invites you to the 17th International Doctoral Seminar

The next meeting will take place on November 26th, 2025, from 16.00-18.00

The objectives of the seminars include the presentation of doctoral students' research and creating an international forum of discussion between doctoral students and established academics. A novelty of the seminars is that each presentation has an assigned discussant to increase the value for presenters and introduce young researchers to the role of reviewers. The topic of the upcoming Seventeenth Seminar is "New research strands in economics, finance and management".

The language of the meeting is English.

MINIATURA grants for researchers at the Gdańsk University of Technology

In the latest edition of the MINIATURA 9 competition organised by the National Science Centre, five researchers from the Gdańsk University of Technology received funding for preliminary research. The awarded funds, totalling nearly PLN 180,000, will enable innovative work to be carried out in the fields of physics, materials engineering, chemical technology and geoengineering.
