Important information for the new international students

Are you an international student starting your studies at Gdańsk University of Technology in October? Be sure you know about the events we have prepared for you and your colleagues who are also starting their student adventure in Gdańsk.

At the beginning of each new academic year, Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office invites newly admitted international students (Polish and English-speaking) to participate in two important events: the Registration Week and the Welcome Meeting. This year all the newcomers and students from other Gdańsk universities will additionally be able to take part in a free guided tour of Gdańsk and a parade inaugurating the beginning of the academic year.

New groundbreaking system for removal of contaminants in water

Researchers working together as part of the Polish-Norwegian consortium, including experts from Gdańsk University of Technology, plan to develop an intelligent remediation system for neutralization of harmful contaminants in water, based on carbon electrodes.  An energy-efficient system using artificial intelligence, which can be used to treat larger mass of sewage, e.g. in treatment plants. The system will be designed to enable oxidation of pollutants and a shorter waste disposal chain.

Consulting for young scientists

The Careers Office invites young scientists, including PhD students, to individual consultations with a career advisor and an entrepreneurship advisor. 

The programme contains Vocational Counselling, including support in the field of:

  • career planning, specifying a professional goal;

  • discovering individual interests and predispositions to perform a particular job;

  • identification of strengths, competencies needed at work;

Psychological support

A doctorate is a time of challenges, development, and new experiences, but also of stress. Mental health is as important as academic success, therefore it is worthwhile to seek support that can change your approach to everyday challenges.

What are consultations at the Center for Psychological Support?

Psychological consultations are a form of short-term support (the number of sessions depends on the presented issue). They are individual meetings with a qualified specialist, during which you can:

Moja PG Portal is a university IT system available at my.pg.edu.pl. It consists of many modules that provide electronic support for students, faculties, employees, administrative staff and associates of the University.
