Semi-annual summary of IDUB programs under the EkoTech Center in the Year 2024

The Initiative for Excellence University of Research (IDUB) program at Gdansk University of Technology is an important pillar supporting the development of research, innovation and education. In 2024, the EkoTech Center continued its activities, encouraging researchers, doctoral students and students to apply for research project funding.

Acknowledgement to the Gdańsk University of Technology for activities taken in the year following the EUA-IEP institutional evaluation

EUA-IEP Evaluation Programme
One year after the institutional evaluation of the "European University Association - Institutional Evaluation Program" (EUA-IEP), the university's actions in response to the June 2023 recommendations for improvement were acknowledged.

Gdansk University of Technology confirmed its competences in the EUA-IEP Institutional Evaluation Program in 2023. First such evaluation took place in September 2018.

Complementary enrolment to Doctoral School at Gdańsk Tech

Candidates for complementary enrolment to the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology – conducted jointly with two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk - the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery and the Institute of Hydro-Engineering – will be able to choose from among 5 disciplines. Complementary enrolment within standard admissions starts on 5th September.

Acceptance of applications to the Doctoral School in the eRecruitment system will last from until 10th September (Tuesday) at 11.00 A.M. All documents required for the admission process should be attached to your application in the form of scans.

Neptun Summer School’24 (15-25.09.2024)

On behalf of the organisers of Neptune Summer School‘24, we would like to invite you to participate in the Neptune Summer School’24, which will take place from 15-25 September 2024, free of charge. 
Basic information for participants
  • Participation in the Neptune Summer School'24 can be active with a presentation in the form of a paper/lecture/training or passive, as a listener (presentations can be of a scientific or technical nature);
  • Participation in the Summer School can be either fully or in selected sessions, even just one;
  • All sessions will be held at the Novotel Gdańsk Marina Hotel, which does not exclude the demonstration of, for example, measurement equipment;
  • The official language of Neptune Summer Scho

Race to Zero – Gdańsk Tech’s actions for climate

Gdańsk University of Technology has published a plan of actions it is taking and is going to take as part of the Race to Zero campaign. The initiative, launched in 2020 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, focuses on striving to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

The goal of the global initiative, the Race to Zero campaign, is to unite business leaders, cities, regions, investors and educational and research institutions in striving to achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 at the latest.
