We are pleased to announce that our doctoral student Jakub Baczyński-Keller, M.Sc. has become a member of the Board of the Polish National Representation of Doctoral Candidates.
The goal of the Polonium program is to increase the university's effectiveness in attracting the most talented candidates to study at the Doctoral School at Gdansk University of Technology.

The most important changes introduced:
A detailed schedule of preparation for the introduction of the personalized education model (MES) at all partner universities and actions taken at the level of the consortium Project Team were discussed, including work on the Regulations for recruitment and participation of students in the Project.
According to the university team, at the stage of student recruitment, it is important to reach potential beneficiaries of the Project and to strengthen their competences in creating ideas and openness to implementing these ideas.
We discussed ideas for new IDUB programs supporting the development of young scientists, as well as establishing cooperation with Gdańsk Tech Startup School GTS2. We prepared an information plan and the launch of a survey in 2025, examining the barriers facing young researchers at Gdańsk Tech after 2 years from the previous survey. We ended the meeting with integration in a pre-Christmas atmosphere.
The next meeting is scheduled for 7 January 2025.
