Cooperation of Gdańsk University of Technology with the Japanese Kwansei Gakuin University

Gdańsk University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences of Kwansei Gakuin University. The agreement will enable scientific exchange between the universities, benefiting students, PhD students and staff members alike.

On behalf of Gdańsk University of Technology, the agreement, known as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed by Prof. PhD, DSc, Eng. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech and Prof. PhD, DSc, Eng. Agata Kot-Wasik, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, while the signatories from the side of the partner university were Prof.

We invite you to participate in the Poster Session Competition "Active - practical ways for sustainable development". This is a unique opportunity to present your artistic skills and creativity as well as your idea of how to implement the idea of sustainable development. 

The objective of the Poster Session Competition is the development and dissemination of knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals among Gdańsk Tech community. The competition is open to the entire PG community: students, PhD students and employees.

Digital Twin – secure and more reliable wind power

A customizable, digital twin for offshore wind farms shall be developed as part of an EU project, involving, among others, Gdańsk University of Technology. This innovation is going to enhance energy reliability and security. Scientists from Gdańsk Tech will be responsible for developing machine-learning models for early detection and prediction of the potential flaws in wind turbines.

New editions of Journal Citation Reports and CiteScore

At the end of June, the latest edition of the Journal Citation Reports compilation of the most cited journals, published annually by Clarivate Analytics, became available. Notably, the JCR includes an updated 2023 Journal Impact Factor (JIF) for journals indexed in the Web of Science database. Compared to previous years, modifications have been made to the JCR to continue the changes initiated last year and increase transparency in the indicators presented.
